POTOMAC, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — Crews are returning to the Potomac River to search for a man who went missing while swimming Monday.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Assistant Chief Scott Graham says the man in his 20s was sitting with a group of friends on the rocks above the Great Falls overlook on the Virginia side on Monday evening when he began to struggle and went under.
The search involving teams from Montgomery and Fairfax counties was called off Monday night, but Graham says teams are resuming their search Tuesday morning.
Two boats and a U.S. Park Police helicopter assisted in the search Monday.
