LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Police in Columbia, Md. are now investigating a third report of a man grabbing a woman inappropriately then fleeing the scene.

The latest incident took place near the intersection of Oakland Mills Road and Dobbin Road on Aug. 25. The suspect was talking on a cell phone when he approached the woman as she was walking.

Earlier in the month, police received two similar reports.

On Aug. 9, a woman was jogging on a footpath near Majors Lane when a suspect ran past her and touched her.

On a nearby footpath off Old Montgomery Road on Aug. 7, a woman reported that a man ran up behind her as she was jogging and grabbed her.

In each of these three cases, the suspect is described as a clean shaven black male in his 20s or 30s with short hair and a medium build. Suspects say he is approximately 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds.

Police have increased bike patrols on pathways in the area and are asking anyone with information to contact the Howard County Police Department at 410-313-3200.
