ASHBURN, Va. (CBSDC) – It’s awards season in Ashburn, as the Washington Redskins return to Redskins Park Friday, signaling the end of the team’s first annual training camp in Richmond, Va.
The team returns home to their family, and to the 4th Annual Welcome Home Luncheon, a celebratory affair in which players are given awards to honor their individual accomplishments the previous season.
While the Redskins have their work cut out for them in defending the franchise’s first NFC East division championship since 1999, there’s still plenty to celebrate about Washington’s success during the 2012-13 NFL season.
There’s nothing too serious about it really, just a chance for the guys to escape the blistering summer heat and pat each other other on the back for a job well done.
“We’ve got a football team that’s got everything,” Mike Shanahan said, later adding “I’m looking at our football team this year as doing something very special.”
Without further ado, here are just a few of the awards given out:

Grant Paulsen added his own input here, but by the looks of it, he’s spot on.
