LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A suspect wanted for holding up a popular College Park restaurant and bar over the weekend turned himself in to Prince George’s County police Tuesday night.
Police said 22-year-old Delontae Keevon Britton, of the 1200 block of Brentwood Road in Northeast Washington, turned himself in to police Tuesday without incident. He has been charged with armed robbery after police say he and another male suspect walked into RJ Bentley’s, in the 7300 block of Baltimore Avenue in College Park, at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday with a gun and demanded money.
After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects fled in what police describe as a silver Acura sedan with Maryland tags. The two suspects were captured by a surveillance camera walking outside the restaurant and driving away in the vehicle.
Police obtained an arrest warrant Monday for Britton. Police are asking for the public’s help in providing them with any information on the second suspect.
No customers were inside the restaurant at the time and there were no reported injuries, police said.
