BALTIMORE — A former lottery worker has pleaded guilty to felony theft over $10,000 for stealing thousands of scratch-off tickets and collecting the winnings.

Fifty-nine-year-old Mark Barron Hantske of Lothian entered the plea Tuesday in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court. He will be sentenced on Sept. 11.

The attorney general’s office says Hantske worked as a sales representative for the lottery, stole more than 7,500 scratch-off tickets from nine retailers. He collected more than $67,000 in winnings.
