WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – Fox 5 segment producer and love of my life Annie Yu sat in with the Junkies Thursday, Aug. 15, presumably to demonstrate what a flawless human being looks like.

Annie, who’s just physically ridiculous, has a long history with the show, booking the guys for guest spots on t.v. and booking her hosts on the Junkies. It’s all very incestuous, for lack of a worse term.

There was another reason for her being in-studio though, other than reminding me my entire life is meaningless without her. She came by to vouch for the legitimacy of the Junkies Summer Dress Party, and reassure other females within local media the event’s more than just four creepy old men asking them to meet up at a bar.

So far, they’re buying it. Confirmed guests include Allison Seymour, Wisdom Martin, Tucker Barnes, Sarah Simmons, and Steve Chenevey, with Britt McHenry and Jummy Olabanji penciled in. Although, Britt’s been on numerous occasions.

If the Summer Dress Party, which is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 23 at Clarendon Ballroom, brings out half the luminaries as the Table Manners Premiere, you’ll feel like you’re in the midst of something truly special, which you will be.

No, seriously.

If you are a female listener, the Summer Dress Party has built  a reputation on class; a glitz n’ glam affair catered specifically to you.

You don’t have to take my word for it.

Radio stations (and sleazy bar owners) across this market have repeatedly tried ripping it off, but none have been able to capture the essence of the Junkies’ event.

You can feel a palpable buzz in anticipation of the Summer Dress Party, an electric current that’s sure to carry across the Ballroom threshold and into the air of 2013’s event, as it always does.

Time: Doors at 7 p.m.

Address: Clarendon Ballroom – 3185 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201

Your only excuse for being late is if you plan on fashionably embarrassing your competition with your radiance.

In the meantime, you can follow Annie Yu on Twitter like I do (in person). Here’s proof we spoke today. She’s great w/ lingo 😉

One day I’ll make her love me.
