WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – The Washington Wizards have signed 16-year veteran forward Al Harrington to a one-year contract, the team announced on Wednesday.

“Al’s all-around game and reputation as a leader make him a solid fit with our team,” Wizards’ GM Ernie Grunfeld said. “He will give us additional depth and experience in the frontcourt, the ability to stretch defenses and another proven veteran in the locker room.
He comes to Washington via free agency after playing 10 games for the Magic in 2012-13.
Last season, Harrington averaged 5.1 points per game (13.7 career), shooting .351 from the field (.445 career), .267 from 3-point range (.352 career), over 11.9 minutes per game (29.0 career).
He’s played for the Pacers, Hawks, Warriors, Knicks, Nuggets and Magic.
