Fox Attack Prompts Rabies Concern in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE, Va. — Prince George County animal control officials say a red fox is being tested for rabies after it attacked two people.

Police were called Sunday after residents of the Red Hill mobile home park in Prince George reported seeing the red acting aggressively. The fox bit one person and scratched another on the calf as he was riding a bicycle at the mobile home park.

Officers located and killed the fox, which was sent to a state lab for testing.
