Should the Redskins trade Kirk Cousins?

Given his strong performances in relief of Robert Griffin III and the promise showed in this year’s preseason opener, Cousins has proven Washington has unprecedented depth at a position that had largely been barren of talent prior to last season.

If Cousins continues to perform as he has, the Redskins will have solid trade bait. Some feel the team could acquire as much first round pick for the backup quarterback.

But would it be in the best interest of the team to trade the Michigan State product given the high risk of injury to RGIII? Absent Cousins, Rex Grossman would be under center for Washington.

So again we ask, should the Redskins trade Kirk Cousins or keep him around as “plan B” with “A game” potential?
