LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — DeAngelo Hall will not play Thursday night when the Washington Redskins open their preseason against the Tennessee Titans.

The cornerback suffered a sprained ankle last week, but has returned to practice.

The Redskins appear to be erring on the side of caution with the 29-year-old.

“I’m just gonna be out there watching, just trying to coach our young guys up,” Hall said, per The Washington Post.

In other Redskins injury news, left tackle Trent Williams is a question mark for Thursday in Nashville. The Pro Bowl lineman aggravated a sprained left wrist in practice recently.

Williams says he’s “available if needed,” but doesn’t know his status for the game.

106.7 The Fan’s Grant Paulsen believes Tom Compton could start in place of Williams.
