WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Gilbert Gottfried nearly set the world on fire with his appearance on the Junkies last year, in which he famously said, actually I can’t recall one thing about it other than it was really funny.

But he was back on Friday, and spent the first four minutes ripping apart super agent David Falk, for no other reason than his book was laying around in the studio.

And this folks, is what makes Gilbert such a fan favorite/Junkies favorite.

You can give him literally nothing, and he’ll come up with material on the spot.

It’s an art form the best comedians perfect; a fine-tuned tool used to remove themselves from uncomfortable situations on-stage, and in real life.

Take something that by itself, is of no consequence to anyone. Let a professional like Gilbert walk into a studio, in which he remembers there being two more people (Cakes & EB), and he’ll break up the monotony by picking up non-existent cues from around the room.

I need not say another word. Just listen to the magic below. Also, in the second clip, listen as Lurch grasps to plug Gilbert’s Twitter account in EB’s place.

Gilbert will be performing five shows at the DC Improv between Friday, Aug. 2 and Sunday, Aug. 4.

You can purchase tickets here. And follow him on Twitter.

Also, does anyone remember when he mysteriously appeared in this Eastern Motors commercial, like two days after being on the Junks last year?
