WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Police have released surveillance footage of a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault that took place inside a Howard University classroom Monday morning, and are seeking public assistance in identifying and locating the suspect.

According to police, a woman was walking in the 2600 block of 6th Street, NW, between 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., when she was approached from behind by a male suspect who pulled her into a classroom and assaulted her.

The suspect, wanted for first degree sexual assault, is described as a black male with a dark complexion, 6’0” in height, slim to medium build, between the ages of 18 and 20.

He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black and white shorts (possibly swim shorts).
