Man Pulled From Maryland Pond Identified

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The man whose body was pulled from a drainage pond in Gaithersburg Sunday has been identified as 25-year-old Matthew Baker.

Baker was from Gaithersburg, police say.

Authorities received a call about the body from a passerby shortly after 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The pond is located in the popular Nike Missile park, near the 8500 block of Snouffer School Road.

The medical examiner is still investigating the man’s cause of death.
