WASHINGTON - District of Columbia Police say three people were fatally shot in two different incidents overnight in Washington.

A brother and sister were shot in the 5300 block of East Capitol Street NE around 4:35 a.m. Police identified the deceased as 28-year-old Jamie Jenkins and 21-year-old Jamahl Jenkins.

At about the same time, 4:20 a.m., a man was shot in the 1100 block of First Place NW. Police say the man had multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene. Police did not release the victim’s name.
