ALEXANDRIA, Va. (CBSDC/AP) — It may be July, but Santa Claus is coming to Alexandria this weekend.

Saturday is the fourth annual Christmas in July in the city’s old town neighborhood. Businesses on Union Street, including The Christmas Attic, are participating in the event. There will be trunk shows, cookie decorating, raffle drawings, arts and crafts and music from noon to 4 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be there.

A portion of store sales during the event will benefit the local children’s charity The Reading Connection.
