LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — D.C. traffic on game nights might seem to indicate otherwise, but apparently the Nationals are one of the least popular teams in baseball.

Harris Interactive’s annual report on the popularity of Major League Baseball teams is out, and the Nats ranked 26 on the list of 30. The team ranked above only the Oakland Athletics, the Houston Astros, the Miami Marlins and the Toronto Blue Jays.

The top five teams on the list are the Yankees, the Red Sox, the Braves, the Dodgers and the Rangers. The nearby Baltimore Orioles are 17th.

To be fair, each of the top five teams has been playing in its home state for decades. The Nats, on the other hand, have only been in D.C. since 2005.

The poll also shows that the teams people most expect to see win the 2013 World Series are the Cardinals, the Yankees, the Red Sox, the Tigers and the Braves, in that order.
