ROCKVILLE, Md. — Montgomery County police say the death of a Rockville physician last week has been classified as a homicide, and detectives and prosecutors are reviewing the case.

Police believe Dr. Chandrasekhar Korapati had an altercation with his 19-year-old son and 20-year-old daughter before he died on July 11.

The victim’s son called police to report that his father was not breathing.

The office of the chief medical examiner has ruled the death a homicide. No charges have been filed.
