LANSDOWNE, Md. — Baltimore County police have identified a man who was struck and killed by a freight train in Lansdowne.

Police say 33-year-old Daniel Shock was found dead Saturday. Police said he did not have a known address, but his family was notified in Newport News, Va.

Investigators say Shock was riding on a CSX freight train passing through the Lansdowne area Saturday morning when he either fell off or attempted to jump off the train. Shock was then pulled under the train and was struck. He was later found dead on the tracks.
