UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — A Connecticut man serving multiple life sentences for a series of sexual assaults will appear remotely in a Prince George’s County court.
Aaron Thomas is scheduled to be arraigned Friday afternoon on charges of first-degree rape and other offenses. He will appear via closed circuit television.
Thomas is accused of being the “East Coast Rapist” for a series of assaults over more than a decade from Rhode Island to Virginia.
He was sentenced in March to multiple life terms in Virginia for crimes including the abduction and rapes of teenage trick-or-treaters in 2009.
That same month, he was indicted in Prince George’s County.
