Key Bridge Re-Opened After Bomb Threat
LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The Key Bridge was closed in both directions for about two hours Thursday morning after a bomb threat was called in to police.
D.C. police said they received a bomb threat via telephone at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday for the bridge that connects D.C.’s Georgetown neighborhood to Rosslyn, Va.
The department’s explosive ordinance team was called to the scene to do a sweep of the bridge but found no suspicious or explosive material.
Police gave the bridge an all-clear at about 11:30 a.m. and all lanes of the bridge are now open.
