Child Dies After Fall at Annapolis July 4 Parade

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — A young boy is dead after falling and being struck by a vehicle shortly before the 4th of July Parade in Annapolis.
The seven-year-old, identified as Kyle Aldridge, of Baltimore, was sitting on the side of a single axle trailer that was being pulled by a van driven by his grandfather. Shortly after 7 p.m., while the van was queuing up for the parade, the boy got off the moving trailer, fell, and was struck by one of its tires, according to police.
He was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
