Video: Brazen Jewelry Store Robbery at Tysons Corner

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — One man has been arrested for a brazen smash and grab robbery of a Tysons Corner Center jewelry store Tuesday afternoon.

Five men entered the store and shattered several display cases before fleeing with an unknown amount of jewels around 4:10 p.m., police say.

Officers were able to locate one of the suspects, 22-year-old Brandon Bowditch of Hamtramck, Mich., near the mall shortly after the incident.

Bowditch has been charged with robbery and remains in police custody. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 25th.

Fairfax County Police are still searching for the remaining suspects.

No one was hurt in the incident.
