LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A Frederick County woman is still missing after she left her home Wednesday afternoon to run errands and never returned.

Police say Teresa Lentz’s family last saw her at their home on Bartonsville Road around noon Wednesday, and that she last spoke to her husband around 1:30 p.m. on her cell phone.

At approximately 9:47 that evening, Lentz’s daughter called 9-1-1 to report her missing. She told Emergency Communications that she had found her mother’s vehicle unoccupied on the shoulder of the roadway, along the railroad tracks, on Reels Mill Road. Some of Lentz’s personal items including her cell phone and vehicle keys were inside.

Frederick County Sheriff’s Deputies, assisted by the Maryland State Police, immediately began searching the area. The search continued throughout the night, but Lentz has not yet been located. Family members say they have no reason to believe that she would leave the area without making them aware.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Teresa Lentz or who saw Teresa Lentz or her vehicle Wednesday can contact police at 301-600-1046.
