D.C. Man Gets 27 Years for Deli Owner’s Slaying

WASHINGTON — A District of Columbia man has been sentenced to 27 years in prison in the slaying of a deli owner last year.

Steven Williams was sentenced in D.C. Superior Court on Friday for the June 2012 murder of 64-year-old Hae Soon Lim, who was found dead on the floor of Grace’s Deli in northeast Washington.

The 47-year-old Williams was linked to the crime through DNA evidence recovered from an empty handgun holster. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder while armed.

The store, where Williams was an occasional customer, has been shuttered since the shooting.
