Woman Injured in Pedestrian Accident in D.C.

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A pedestrian accident closed a major intersection in downtown D.C. for several hours Tuesday afternoon.
D.C. police said a woman was struck by a truck at the intersection of 4th Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The woman was conscious and breathing when emergency personnel arrived, according to D.C. fire. She was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
The intersection of 4th Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW was closed near H Street for about three hours as police investigated the accident scene. The roadways were reopened at about 5:15 p.m., according to police.
