LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Southeast DC was an especially violent place to be Sunday night into Monday morning, as police responded to three unconnected shootings.
WNEW’s Kevin Patrick reports that two people were shot near the intersection of Benning Road and G Street in one of the incidents.
A 17-year-old suffered injuries to both legs, a 20-year-old was shot in the face. Both are expected to survive.
Neighbors told Patrick they are frustrated with the amount of crime in the neighborhood.
The other two Southeast shootings were on the 1300 block Savannah Street several hours apart. Another shooting and a stabbing occurred in Northeast DC, as well. There is no word on the conditions of the victims in those incidents.Comments
