PGPD to Hand Out ‘Child ID Kits’ at Largo Event

LARGO, Md. — Police in Prince George’s County are handing out free “Child ID Kits.” When completed, the kits contain all the information detectives would need in the event the child goes missing.

Police will be handing out the kits Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Largo Plaza Shopping Center.

The kit includes an emergency contact sheet, the child’s picture, DNA and fingerprints. Parents take the kits home. The packages also contain information on ways to stay safe and avoid potential abduction.
