WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – The Washington Redskins have announced the signings of Donte Stallworth and former Saints receiver Devery Henderson.
The team extended an invitation for Stallworth to tryout on Tuesday, and the 32-year old must have proven he hasn’t lost a step after being cut by the Patriots after just one game in 2012, and a month removed from a freak hot air balloon accident which left him with burns on his left arm and rear end.
He last played for the Patriots, who cut him after just one game in 2012. He caught 22 passes for 309 yards and two touchdowns for the Redskins the season before.
Henderson, 31, hauled in 245 passes for more than 4,300 yards in nine seasons with New Orleans. He had 22 receptions for 316 yards and one touchdown for the Saints in 2012.
