Body of Teenager Found in Rock Creek Park

CHEVY CHASE, Md. (CBSDC) — A teenage boy whose body was found in Rock Creek Park on Tuesday afternoon was killed by a fallen tree, police said.

Fifteen-year-old Joshua Davis, of Chevy Chase, was found in the park a few hundred yards from a playground near Jones Mill Road and Susanna Lane just after 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to Montgomery County police.

Joshua was reported missing by his parents Monday after he failed to return from a bike ride. Search efforts Monday evening were unsuccessful.

Investigators believe that Monday’s strong rain storms could be a factor in the boy’s death, and foul play is not suspected.
