D.C. Woman Beaten, Tased in Home Invasion

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — A woman was injured when a man broke into her D.C. home and Tased and beat her, police said.
The woman, who lives in the 2700 block of Chesapeake Street NW, was at home at about 10 a.m. Wednesday when a man knocked on her door and punched her in the face when she opened the door, according to D.C. police.
The unknown man entered the house, assaulted the woman with a Taser and mace, and attempted to sexually assault her. He eventually fled the scene without stealing anything, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with gray hair and about 50 years old. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans and was possibly driving a red vehicle, police said.
The woman is expected to recover from her injuries.
