George to Formally Announce Run for Md. Governor

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — Del. Ron George is scheduled to formally announce he is running for governor of Maryland.
The Anne Arundel County Republican is scheduled to make the announcement Wednesday evening in Annapolis.
His announcement speech will focus on creating and expanding small businesses, growing the private sector and reducing business taxes.
George is in his second term in the Maryland House of Delegates. He is a 59-year-old small-business owner.
On Monday, Harford County Executive David Craig announced his bid for the GOP nomination.
A variety of other potential candidates also are considering running, including former Lt. Gov. Michael Steele.
