LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Uh oh. It looks like somebody has a case of the Mondays — namely, E.B.

As the Junks interviewed Pro Football Talk founder Mike Florio, Mr. Bickel’s eyes closed, his chin rested firmly in his hand, and he drifted off… or did he?

E.B. isn’t certain whether or not he fell all the way asleep during the segment.

“I don’t know. . . I could have dozed off for a second. It’s possible,” he said. “The show tires me and sometimes I’m more tired than others.”

“I know that when Florio was on and he was talking, I wasn’t thinking about Mike Florio,” said E.B.

To his credit, he did ask Florio a question, but also concedes that he was “resting” at the time of the interview.

But does “resting” constitute sleep?

“I don’t think I could sleep that way,” E.B. said. “To be completely honest, if you tested me and put all these sleep things on me, I don’t’ think I would have qualified as sleeping. I was definitely resting. There’s no doubt about it.”

And after looking at the tape he was certain that he wasn’t all the way asleep. He argued that his eyes were open and his legs were moving.

Perhaps the most damning argument against E.B., however, was the way he suddenly jolted ‘awake’ after his brief ‘rest.’

You be the sleep judge.

As history would have it, this isn’t the first time E.B. has (potentially) paid a visit to the Sandman during the show. A number of years ago he fell asleep during an interview at the old studios in Fairfax. When he awoke, he asked the exact same question as had just been asked.
