Off-Duty Cop Charged With Taking Photos of Woman

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — A seven-year veteran of the Prince George’s County Police Department has been charged with second-degree assault after taking photographs of a woman without her consent while he was off duty.
Investigators say Cpl. Christopher Adams was off duty at a hotel with a female acquaintance on March 17 when, without permission, he took photos of her. Adams intended to use the pictures in a sexual manner, according to police documents.
He has been charged with three counts of visual surveillance with prurient intent and second-degree assault.
Adams, who is assigned to the Regional Investigation Division, has been suspended with pay.
