WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Cornerback E.J. Biggers, entering his first season with the Redskins, demonstrated an impressive level of character in a radio interview Tuesday, in which he also somehow managed to sum up D.C.’s love affair with RGIII in less than a paragraph.
First, there was his flawless response to how he’s fitting into a suddenly crowded secondary, which includes two returning starters and a second-round draft pick.
“We had two starters left from last year, two guys that have been doing great things, and we’re just all in it together right now,” Biggers told 106.7 The Fan’s Lavar and Dukes. “Everybody’s just competing, trying to find out where they’re going to be on the field.”
Then there was Biggers’ appropriate amount of playing to the home crowd, after being pressured to name the most dangerous team in the NFL, not named the Redskins.
“The Baltimore Ravens are the Super Bowl champs, so those are the guys that everybody’s going to be looking at, because like you said, those were the champs last year, but right now we’re so focused on ourselves and getting better at the little things, that’s all I see right now is the Washington Redskins.”
And finally, his response to being asked if he was already tired of RGIII questions, managed to accurately reflect the sentiment of an entire Redskins fan base, while somehow doing it in two dozen words or less.
“No, not at all,” Biggers said. “He’s a great dude. I mean, you can never say too many things about somebody so awesome, man.”
