Md. Fire Volunteer Hit By Car While Clearing Wreck
HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Maryland State Police say a Washington County Fire Police volunteer was hit by a car while helping to clear a wreak on Interstate 68.
Police say 65-year-old Graham Snow of Hancock was standing by his car directing traffic around an earlier crash Thursday night when a Volkswagen Jetta drove through flares and cones and hit his car, which then hit Snow.
Police say Snow and the driver of the car, 19-year-old Ashley Khodayar of Martinsburg, W.Va., were taken to Meritus Medical Center. Both were treated and released.
Khodayar was charged with failure to control speed to avoid a collision, negligent driving and other offenses.
