CROFTON, Md. — A woman pulled from a burning townhome in Crofton has died of her injuries.

Anne Arundel County fire officials say 52-year-old Patricia Hart died at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore late Wednesday afternoon.

She was rescued from a second-floor bathroom of the burning home a day earlier.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Hart becomes the third person to die as a result of a fire in Anne Arundel County this year.
