COLLEGE PARK, Md. (CBSDC) — The female student at the University of Maryland, College Park who was found dead in a dorm building Monday afternoon has been identified as Sarah Elizabeth Hancock.

Hancock, of Bel Air, was a 20-year-old student at the College Park campus. Police are still investigating what may have caused her death.

Authorities responded to Kent Hall, on the south side of campus, at about 1:15 p.m. Investigators say they don’t think Hancock’s death was a murder or a suicide, and appears to be the result of an accident.

No further details were immediately available about the nature of the incident.
