LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — After one horse was found dead and a second was found severely injured in a field in Nokesville Friday morning, Prince William County police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the case.

Authorities say that between the hours of 6 and 7 a.m. this morning, a 10-year-old thoroughbred cross mare was found dead and a quarter horse gelding Palomino was found so severely injured that it required euthanasia.

Police ask that if you have information that may be helpful in the investigation, to call 703-792-6500.
