WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Hysterical. Weird. Confusing.

These are all words you could use to describe the moment Davey Johnson called into 106.7 The Fan Thursday to apologize for something he said during his weekly appearance on another radio show.

And you would be correct in doing so, but you would also be wildly off-base.

Truth be told, it’s difficult to find the words to describe a segment that included Johnson apologizing for calling the Junkies the ‘Flunkies’ in a throwaway joke, over a day ago, and a subsequent call-in from EB (of Flunkies fame) to briefly acknowledge that apology, then shoehorn mention after mention after mention of his own weight loss conquest.

To peel back the curtain, during the commercial break preceding this controlled chaos run amok, a producer was overheard saying something to the effect of “uhhh…Davey Johnson is on the line,” then everyone ran around like chickens with their heads cut off scrambling to confirm it was actually him.

Then this happened.

Then everyone joined in the middle of the room in one of those jumping high fives you see at the end of 80′s sitcoms where time freezes.

Davey is the greatest ever.

You can find more info about that appearance Davey was mentioning here, by the way.
