WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — D.C. taxis may soon rock the same red as Capital Bikeshare and the city circulator.
The panel appointed by the D.C. Taxicab Commission came out with its recommendation in February, noting that red is “strongly associated” with the District. Wednesday’s 10 a.m. meeting of the group revealed the proposed red-with-a-gray-stripe design.
Currently, cabs in the district can be found in a wide variety of colors. A uniform color scheme was part of a package of reforms approved last year by the D.C. Council.
