Henderson Elementary School in Dumfries Evacuated Due to Bomb Threat

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Henderson Elementary School in Dumfries, Va. was evacuated after officials were made aware of a bomb threat Wednesday morning, police say.

Students and personnel were moved to a safe area as officers and K-9 units performed an extensive search of the school. Police say they discovered nothing nefarious.

The school, located in the 3700 block of Waterway Drive, is resuming normal operations according to authorities.

Prince William County School officials are asking parents not to come to the school.
