GMU Inaugurating Angel Cabrera as New President

FAIRFAX, Va. (CBSDC/AP) — George Mason University is formally inaugurating Angel Cabrera as the school’s sixth president.
Cabrera has been on the job since July 1, succeeding the retired Alan Merten. But the inauguration ceremonies Friday at the Patriot Center on the school’s Fairfax campus will include a speech by Cabrera sketching out his vision for the school.
Cabrera has held various meetings with the Mason community seeking ideas that will develop the university culture as innovative, diverse, entrepreneurial and accessible.
