WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - While holding a press conference Wednesday to address the state of the Redskins and field questions on the upcoming draft, Mike Shanahan may have dropped a “Dumb & Dumber” movie reference, and botched it.

So you’re telling me there’s a chance? Yes!

As everyone knows by now, Washington does not have a first round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft. When asked if it’s possible the team trades into tonight’s primetime showcase, Shanny delivered a response that warrants a second listen.

Reporter: Is there any realistic scenario whatsoever that would have you trading into the first round?

Shanahan: I’d say it’d be a long shot looking at what we have but there’s always a possibility. Like one in a million, but it is still possible. There is a chance.

Considering he completely got the words wrong, it would be preposterous to suggest Shanahan was quoting the famous Jim Carrey line if he hadn’t raised his inflection on that last “there is a chance.” Eyebrows would also not be raised had he not stumbled upon Mary Swanson’s “one in a million” line.

But he did. And they both came in the same breath.

Here, listen to the Shanahan and D&D clips together. They’re seriously close:

Now let’s all throw salt over our left shoulders and hope the Redskins have a good draft.
