Person Rescued in 3-Alarm Blaze Dies; Md. Firefighter Critical

REISTERSTOWN, Md. — Authorities say one of two people rescued from a three-alarm blaze at a Baltimore County home is dead and a firefighter is in critical condition.

Baltimore County fire officials say the fire broke out at the home on Hanover Road in Reisterstown around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Fire officials say two residents of the home were rescued, but one later died at a hospital. They say one firefighter was unconscious when he was pulled from the building. A spokesperson for Shock Trauma says the 23-year-old firefighter is listed in critical condition.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
