Man’s Body Confused for Mannequin Pulled from Potomac

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A man’s body has been pulled from the Potomac River near the Key Bridge.

Police say the unidentified body was discovered shortly after noon Wednesday.

The body was floating 400 meters west of the Key Bridge, authorities say.

There was some initial confusion at the scene as to whether the body was actually a mannequin.

Two bodies were recently pulled from the waters near the Tidal Basin.
