Arlington House Fire Sends 3 to Hospital

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A house fire in Arlington sent three people to the hospital Tuesday morning.

Arlington County fire and rescue personnel received a call at about 10:45 a.m. for a fire in the 2300 block of North Dinwiddie Street, near the intersection of Lee Highway. Firefigthers were able to get the blaze, which had engulfed the two-story home, under control.

Three people were rescued from the house and transported to nearby hospitals. Two people, who were able to get out of the house before firefighters arrived on scene, were taken to Washington Hospital Center. Another person, who was rescued from the basement of the home, was transported to Virginia Hospital Center.

No firefighters were injured in the blaze. Officials said there is extensive damage to the home.
