Man Charged With Sexual Assault on Taxi Passenger

WASHINGTON — Police in Washington say a man has been arrested after he assaulted a woman leaving a taxi.

Police say the assault happened Saturday when a woman caught a cab to the 2600 block of Georgia Avenue NW. Police say the woman’s driver had a male friend riding with him and that both the woman and man exited the cab at that location. Police say the man pulled the woman into a nearby alley where he physically and sexually assaulted her.

Police say the woman screamed for help. Police arrived and arrested 35-year-old Mohammed Suleiman Roble of Alexandria, Va. He is charged with first-degree sexual assault.

Suleiman does not have a listed phone number.
