No Injuries in D.C. Officer Involved Shooting
WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Police in the District say no one was injured in an officer involved shooting Wednesday night.
Authorities responded to the 700 block of Tewkesbury Place, NW after receiving a report of a man carrying a gun around 9:10 p.m.
The man attempted to flee when officers arrived. As he was running, the man pointed the gun at one of the officers, police say. That officer fired at the man, but did not strike him. No injuries were reported following the shooting.
The man was taken into custody at the scene.
Police have not released the name of the suspect or the officer involved in the shooting.
