LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The Nationals got off to a good start Monday, but if the season takes a turn for the worse, take heed. Compared to other baseball stadiums, it is very expensive to drown your sorrows at Nats Park.
According to a report on CNNMoney, the cheapest beer to be had at Nationals games (after the pre-game drink specials end) is a 16-ounce can for $8. That’s the highest price per ounce of all 26 Major League Baseball parks that responded to the CNN survey. The Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees, the Tampa Bay Rays and the Toronto Blue Jays did not respond to requests for 2013 food and drink prices.
The best beer deal in the league is at the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Chase Field in Phoenix. There, fans can get a 14-ounce beer for $4.
The price of a Nats Park hot dog is also pretty high at $5 a pop, but New York Mets fans pay a whopping $6.25 per dog. Cincinnati Reds’ fans, meanwhile, can get one for just $1.
