Dog Death Linked to Davidsonville Murder

DAVIDSONVILLE, Md. (CBSDC) – The deaths of a woman and dog found dead inside a Davidsonville home last week have each been determined to be the result of stab wounds.

A medical examiner ruled the death of Nicole Burgess, 37,  found dead inside a home located in the 3300 block of Royale Glen Court last Friday, to be the result of a homicide. She was found with trauma to the body, and a medical examiner later determined the cause of death to be from stab wounds.

The cause of the dog’s death was initially unknown, but has been determined to also be from stab wounds.

Both deaths are believed to be connected but no motive has been established.

Police have yet to establish if this was a random or targeted incident.
